Van Halen Says They Will Tour With David Lee Roth
August 7th, 2007
For about the 10th time, Van Halen claims they are going to tour again with David Lee Roth. In the past, each tour was quickly cancelled for some reason or another. Here’s more:
Van Halen will announce a 50-date American reunion tour with original singer David Lee Roth during a news conference in Hollywood next week, sources said.
The arena trek will begin in early October.
Roth, who split from the rock group in the mid-1980s in hopes of solo stardom, will reunite with co-founders Eddie Van Halen on guitar and brother Alex Van Halen on drums. Eddie’s teenage son Wolfgang will sub for Michael Anthony on bass.
A proposed summer amphitheater tour by the group never got off the ground, with Eddie Van Halen entering a rehabilitation facility for undisclosed reasons in March.
I absolutely loved Van Halen, but they were not the same without Diamond Dave. I just wonder if Dave’s voice can physically take a 50-date concert schedule, and whether Eddie is going to be healthy enough to make it?
If they do end up touring, do you plan to go see them?

Will absolutely attend-saw them in the 70’s and realize range may not be there but music will still be phenominal thought they would never get around to this-band the best with David Lee Roth-just ignore the attitude

Let them all come with attitudes, who cares,we just want their live music that some of us never got to hear in the early days due to raising families and other legitimate reasons. You all can take your negative attitudes and stay away from all the fun we will be having at their upcoming arena shows.I will be working security at our local show, behave or your ass is on the street.
