Alex Rodriguez Says He Was Abused By Wife

Alex Rodriguez does not deny he is a “womanizer,” but he says he soon-to-be ex-wife, Cynthia, allowed him to do it.

A-Rod claims his wife allowed him to see other women, but in return, she “emotionally abused” him.  Among the claims A-Rod and his friends are making about his wife are:

“Alex has always been into psychotherapy, making himself mentally stronger,” a longtime confidante tells us. “He’s had several therapists. Cynthia has a master’s degree in psychology. Once she found out how vulnerable he was, she got into his head.”

The cultural divide between her Orthodox Greek upbringing and his Dominican heritage quickly became apparent, according to several of his friends.

“She said she wanted him to become a mainstream sports star,” says a source. “She didn’t want him typecast as a Latin player. She discouraged him from taking part in Hispanic community events.”

“She wouldn’t even let him eat Spanish food,” claims another source. “She didn’t like him hanging out with old buddies from Washington Heights.”

As far as Madonna is concerned, they did not have a physical affair, but “an affair of the heart.”  In fact, Alex claims his wife kept bugging him to call Madonna’s people so they could get backstage passes to her concert.

I am sure more of these little tidbits will be released as the divorce continues.
